Looking ahead, we will further improve and build the unique CCA curriculum of ISA Liwan. We will establish the CCA curriculum system of “Life and Professional Skills,” “Art and Culture,” “Academic and Competition,” “Teamwork and Leadership,” and “Health and Wellness”， providing, providing more than 100 supplementary courses including sports, arts, humanities and science.
Each student will choose four CCA courses per semester, giving them eight CCA courses per academic year. We will ensure that students would have selected one from each of the above mentioned section.
Through our purposeful curriculum, we aspire to inspire our students to be creative problem solvers, intercultural conscious, knowledgeable, cutting-edge technology leaders, and effective self-managers. This commitment to holistic education is at the heart of our mission at ISA Liwan.
According to the needs of different age levels, ISA Liwan provide Chinese and English dual-native language teaching for all students in the IB Programme to help students become “Chinese-English International talents” who will enter the world stage with a confident and firm attitude.
Additional second foreign language courses such as French, German, Japanese, Korean are offered for students to meet the needs of multicultural communication.
ISA Liwan Innovation Centre is dedicated to making make tech innovation fill every campus corners like air, to making tech flow through teaching like blood, and to integrating tech into student evaluation like traditional subject. The Centre’s curriculum is structured around seven key modules: Life Science, Environmental Science, Digital and 3D Modelling, Smart Agriculture, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Smart Manufacturing, and Future Cities.
In 2024, ISA Liwan Innovation Centre was awarded the MIT Fab Lab accreditation. It has since adopted the STEAM 2.0 concepts to create a student-centred innovation environment, provide students with comprehensive support in science and innovation resources, and cultivate the country’s future science and innovation talents.
Essence of Local Culture in the National and Global Contexts
While providing extraordinary international education, ISA Liwan integrates Liwan related calligraphy, painting and other literary elements into the development of co-curriculum in the manner of immersion education, offering Cantonese opera, Cantonese sculpture and Cantonese embroidery.
